I have heard from multiple experienced sources that applying to law schools in the US as an international student puts me at a severe disadvantage. Is this true?
International schools are always at significant disadvantages in signifcantly prestigious college admissions or grad school.
There is very little reason for an international applicant to apply to a regular law program in the US. Those are designed for people who are going to practice US law within the US.
What may make sense for you would be to complete your initial law studies in your home country, then come to the US for a Master or PhD in a particular legal subfield.
OP, I assume that you realize that you need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent to apply for a JD degree in the US.
OP stated that he plans to have BA in PolSci in his another thread.
Btw, why ask question that has already been answerd in the dif. thread?
