Law School after College Suspension

I was suspended from a top 50 University for underage drinking 3 years ago...I went back and got my degree and now I'm working at a law firm...I'm very interested in pursuing my law degree...but I need to know my chances...here are my stats:

3.27 gpa (major: marketing)

tons of internships/work experience since 2004

working on getting my record expunged right now

22 years of age

If I get 170+ on my lsats...what are my chances of getting into a top 20 law school? Even top 30? Should I wait to apply until I have a lot of work experience? And most importantly, will my suspension from college hinder my chances in any way?

Please, any help/advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

If it’s underage drinking I don’t think you have much to worry about, unless it’s anything particularly heinous seeing that students generally do not get suspended just for underage drinking at most colleges.

No matter when you apply, you will have to write an addendum to address the question if you have been ever been placed on academic probation, suspended, dismissed or separated from the school for academic or disciplinary reasons.
