In your opinion, is going to law school mainly because one desires to be elected to public office one day a poor reason to enter law school?

Thanks.

In your opinion, is going to law school mainly because one desires to be elected to public office one day a poor reason to enter law school?

Thanks.

First the 10 character limit.

Yes.

Remember what they say about Law School Classes-
A sudents-Best teachers
B students-best judges
C students-best lawyers
D students-most money
F students-best politicians

Do wahtever you need to do to just barely graduate and you should be fine future governor.

You can do what Bill Frist did. Major in a politics related field, go to medical school, become a cool doctor, then run for public office.

Anyone can be a politician. It just helps to have money first and being a lawyers is one of the few ways dumber people can make a lot of money fairly safely (not that they aren't a lot of smart lawyers).

But becoming a lawyer is far easier than a doctor or successful businessman.

I plan to go to law school and become a politican later on. I simply believe that knowing the law and having a degree will help me later down the line to pursue my dreams and change the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I assume you mean change the world for the better. But, yes, good luck with that. Be sure to keep coming back here for advice once you've been elected to the position of your choice.

Does a law degree from an excellent school, for example, help you get a job working with a Congressman or Senator? Do these schools make use of alumni connections to help their students get experience in these areas?

Does one need a law degree to be legislative aide ?

I second that and wonder: what exactly does an aid do?

everything the legislator doesnt want to do [:P]

ie: all the dirty work!

I guarentee none of u will be politicans...so i reccomend not going to law school just to become a politician
