*Keep in mind that how large a school is does not necessarily reflect the number of applicants from that school.

I apologize for the format

Thanks for posting this data. Do you have any data on how many total people from Duke applied to each school?

From this data, it looks like Duke grads have better showings in med or business school admissions than law school admissions.
<a href="http://www.wsjclassroomedition.com/pdfs/wsj_college_092503.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.wsjclassroomedition.com/pdfs/wsj_college_092503.pdf</a></p>

Great link mallomarcookie. Question though. The analysis for Duke mentioned how only 25% of graduates go on to professional school so while Duke is a good feeder "students may take their time." I am interested in going to Med school right after my four years at Duke. I'm aware of Duke's amazing Pre-Med advising/education (that's why I applied) but do most go to med school right after undergrad?

Big fall-off at Harvard. A few years ago, there were 72 Dukies there. (third, behind H and Y)

Ouch! What caused that? Does it usually fluctuate?

Not impressed at all.
Do you have Duke undergrad representation at penn/columbia/nyu/duke law?

Could be a common fluctuation. If memory serves, Princeton's number is also notably lower (and Stanford and Penn are much higher).

Most likely a common fluctuation. We also do not have all the facts (# of people who applied, average student gpa and lsat). The point I was trying to make was that Duke was in the top 10.

Hello Tryingmybest,

I would say about 80% of my friends went directly to med school. The rest either did research (NIH, Wash U, Duke), healthcare consulting, or were fullbright scholars.

Where did this list come from?
