Has anyone here attended either of these schools or have any advice on which school they’d choose? I really don’t know which school to choose, I have my revisit days coming up, but I still want to start deciding as early as possible. As a side note, how many people live in a room at Lawrenceville (maximum)?
My son graduated from Lawrenceville. He was also accepted to Deerfield, and we went to the admitted student days. Both are wonderful choices to have.
The two schools contrast starkly with each other: Lawrenceville is in a suburban area, and Deerfield is quite rural. Deerfield is preppy and has formal sit down meals. Lville has Harkness and a focus on humanities/arts.
In the lower house (boys): most are singles, although there are a handful of doubles. Never been inside girls lower, but I assume its the same. I think in the Upper house, there are some rooms that have triples. My son had a double freshman year, and then singles for the remainder. The girls dorms at Lville are much newer (nicer) than the boys circle houses.
Go to the revisit days and then decide. You can’t go wrong with either.
