hey, this isn't anything college related.. i need some legal advice. If there are any lawyers out there that would like to help pm me or AIM me. My aim is the same as my cc name. Thanks a lot

Sounds like trouble.......uh oh.

definitely not trouble on my part. i need clarifications on a couple laws and some advice. I live in california if that helps.

I am sure you will get a response.....there are plenty of JDs on the CC. Good Luck

thanks... im sure your curious as to what happened so i might as well just post it. Basically my house got robbed last thursday and no one was home. However, they stupidly stole my car (car was in the garage, keys in the house) and were caught speeding and subsequently were arrested. THe thing is the people that did it were all minors. We still havent gotten our stuff back and the police are being really dodgy about information. I have a lot of questions that i want to have answered.

Joy riders huh? Be careful about getting too much information I guess. I doubt if you are the only victim of the "perps". Allow the prosecutor to handle it and your insurance co. I feel for 'ya. What a mess and at a bad time of year too. I feel certain that some proficient JD will step up.......they have before. Did you post this the parent thread?

yeah definitely... i was driving back home, finished with my last final when my parents called me and gave me the bad news.

well, i consider myself lucky because they stupidly got caught a mere 4-6 hours after they robbed us. If they hadn't taken the car they probably would have gotten away with it.

ouch new developments.. i need some advice soon.

Post in the parent's thread......

hobo: If you need legal advice, I would suggest you contact the closest bar association. They have referral services and providers that will work on a sliding fee scale. Unfortunatley, this board is not the venue for that type of advice.

Good luck to you,
