LCSW in New York?

So right now I am an undergrad with one year left, it is currently summer vacation. I want to go to grad school to get my LCSW, but I have no idea how it works, and I want to start applying to grad schools now to try and get a fellowship or assistantship. I’m pretty sure that becoming a school counselor is the right career choice for me, but I want to keep my options open and have decided to opt out of a masters in school counseling. I live in upstate New York, and was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to go about this, where I should apply, or what schools near me have a degree like this available.
Thank you!

I assume you mean MSW, not LCSW. An LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. You do not get that until you have years of practice and supervision under your belt. An MSW is the first step on that road. Some schools to look at for an MSW-Columbia, University at Albany SUNY, SUNY Buffalo, Adelphi, Hunter College, Syracuse. In nearby states, you could look at Boston University, Smith, Rutgers, Pitt, etc. There are many options.
