LD and SAT Question

My son has a documented reading disability. He has achieved a fairly high math score on the SAT. March/2008: 610 June/2008: 660. However, he cannot even break 500 on the CR and writing. CR: March/2008: 460 June/2008 470. Writing: March/2008: 440 June/2008: 450.

He had extensive private tutoring after the March 2008 exam in an attempt to help him with the CR and Writing. However, we only saw a 10 point improvement in each area. (The math went up 50 points) I am wondering if a third time would make a difference. He is disappointed in the results. I am not sure he can bring these scores up. Will schools take the LD into consideration. Is the LD a "huge" negative. Thoughts?

They will take that into consideration because, even w/ his disability, he is working hard to improve his scores. Colleges do look at that; overcoming obstacles. The 3rd time might make a difference; it’s worth a shot. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Restore his confidence and prepare him once more. GL
