Has anyone else been invited to this program? I'd love to attend, but I am not sure if it is legit or not. Does anyone have any information about this?

I also got the mailing today. Looking through the first page on the left sidebar, there's National Honor Roll, which is a scam running through a mailbox, and DECA ("An Association of Marketing Students"), which makes us students merchandise (they sell your information to scams and other nice junk to get).

I'm still debating whether just the program itself is legit. Seems a bit bogus, though...

yea i got the same thing too... But the thing is that they sent me one last year and this year in september i got a letter that said "You did not go last year. We Want you to go this year" and they sent me like a fancy looking certificate (which is what i got in the mail yesterday). I dunno if its fake but im wondering if colleges are going to be like "WHOA DUDE HE WENT TO THE CSLC THING!!!"

I don't know about the last part, but...it's from...this organization that sells our info...the organization from which National Honor Roll the Scam was derived...

I know this kid in my grade who went to that. He came back and was raving about how good it was. I did not attend so I can't tell you if its ligit or not, but my friend seemed to like it alot.

If there was an experience, it's probably legit, but I dunno how colleges are going to look at it...

Heh. I got mine today too.

Actually, DECA is legit. Our school has DECA and they fund-raise for competitions and stuff.

DECA the competition and DECA the marketing people are two different organizations. =P

I got this in the mail a few weeks ago and it LOOKED legit but I still dont know if it really is...I got this and the English Merit (prob a scam), National Honor Roll (scam), and Who's Who (?)

but I'm already going to the Close Up Program in Washington, DC in January anyway and that costs $1300 for 8 days

Yeah, I got that too. It came with a certificate (aka a sheet of paper) with my name spelled wrong on it. My name is Brad and it was spelled Dvod.

What do you mean by legit? My friend went this past summer and had a great time. I got the letter as well. I might go.
