Leadership Position back to Normal Member

I am a member of a club at my school called FBLA. If I become an officer my junior year and then go back down to normal member my senior year, is this a bad look? I would do this due to some requirements I would need to fulfill to become an officer senior year that I do not plan on doing.

It probably won’t make or break your application. If you think that this is not a great spot of your application and that your FBLA club is not the main focus of your ECs, you don’t even have to mention it.

Don’t try to excuse it with the reason that “I didn’t want to fulfill the requirements” though, THAT would look bad.
