Do you guys think that Wharton favors one or the other? I seem to see that many of the people on CC have “entrepreneur-esque” ECs (Web-page business, running servers, selling computers, etc.) or internships at banks and insurance companies. I, on the other hand, have nothing like this. My ECs are much leadership-oriented (VP, then president of student council, chief editor of newspaper, principal’s advisor, head of several fundraising committees, etc.) Does this put me at a disadvantage because I have no “business” ECs.

i would like to know too bump

e-mail the admissions comittee for an accurate answer

When I spent the summer at Wharton, the AdComm that talked to us said she just wants to see a strong interest in business, why Wharton vs. any other biz school other than name, and leadership.

You don't need to have any business experience (coursework or extracurriculars) to get into Wharton. Leadership is more important than that.

thanks, that reassurance makes me feel a lot better.

Yes!!! I'm a Leader.

I'm still too terrified to apply to Wharton...lol
