Hi, I got in and am considering attending. I don’t care about prestige in terms of college admissions, however I would like to start my own business (successful one) from the lean gap program. To anyone knowledgeable or has attended, how likely were people to start their own successful business whether it was generating revenue or simply recognition? I do not want to waste an entire summer learning business to just eventually fail in my endeavor.
Thanks, again, I feel starting a successful business would look better on an app than simply attending a prestigious summer program, thus I am considering lean gap.
Congrats on your admission! From what I understand , Lean Gap should be a good productive use of your time if you want to start a business. It is a rather new company. It has only been around 3 or 4 years, so doesn’t have the reputation of a MIT Launch or Endevvr (which for some unknown reason suddenly closed for this year). Lean Gap was started by the young, remarkable Eddy Zhong who also has some MIT guys on his staff. They should be able to coach, inspire and teach you a lot about a start up. Good Luck.
By the way, here’s an article about Eddy Zhong. http://www.betaboston.com/news/2015/03/17/■■■■■■■-encourages-high-schoolers-to-unlock-their-entrepreneurial-potential/
@oak2maple
I also want to let you know I want to major in CS/Engineering.
I was hoping that I would be able to use computer science or engineering techniques in a business setting.
Would I be able to do this at LeanGap?
@jg18 I received an admissions offer for this summer and am considering to attend. Could you please explain to me why you think it is a scam (im kinda worried about that since I plan to attend)???
