Leaning toward Supply Chain Management since I am interveiwing for an internship. Good major?

Anyone majored in Supply Chain? My internship interview is for the distribution center, where things are apparetly get crazzy. Anyone know anything about this?

Also, I was heavily considering SC before. I am just afraid it is too narrow of a degree, but there are also many things to do in Supply Chain.

My goal is to do data analysis, forecasting, or procurement. Is this the right first step working in a distribution center?

A distribution center seems like a pretty good first step, especially if there’s any sort of analysis being used (forecasting, pricing, etc). One person in the company I work for had a supply chain degree and he worked as a fuel supply dispatcher because it required a good ability to plan and analyze the paths of the trucks and route them in efficient enough ways to get charged for the least transportation costs possible.
