So I'm an unemployed sophomore-to-be at Swarthmore, and because I don't have any internships or jobs or anything planned for the summer, I'm kind of bored and can't wait for it to be September. I intend to be a math major, and next semester I'll be taking Real Analysis. I want to get an A in it, and have yet to get an A in this college. Do you recommend trying to learn the material the summer before, so that the course won't be so difficult when I do take it? By the way, I'm using Introduction to Analysis by Rosenlicht.

why not?
might as well be productive.

It’s a really smart idea. I do it over winter break. It helps. I usually don’t do practice problems, though, I just read the text, get the general idea and hope that when I take the class the my gaps in knowledge will be filled. If you were so inclined, you could do this for all your classes.

sounds like a great idea. i’ve probably tried it a hundred times but could never get into it.
