Leaving college for awhile...

I might be planning on leaving college for awhile (maybe, about a year) just so I could get a full time job, then go back to college and finish it.

Is it a good idea or a bad idea?

good idea, sometimes it’s good to take a year or so off and enter the working world before going back to college. Most people come back with a different perspective of how the world really works and that’s a good thing as you can see how important an education is.

This can also be a good idea because it’ll give you a chance to get a full time job. You’ll gain experience, references, and not to mention money! But just make sure you’re going to take a break for all the right reasons, and make sure you plan carefully. Unless you have connections or maybe skills/previous education to back it up, it’s hard to find a job during college that’s not customer service related, so make sure you won’t mind doing that for a year straight. I would also start looking for jobs before you stop school. Just in case you can’t find anything you don’t want to be stuck without school or a job. Also make sure that this won’t mess up any financial aid or your plan for you college program.
