LEDA Scholars 2014

I messaged LEDA numerous times already: through Facebook, and Email. I never receive any response, so I think they’re busy with applications. Good Luck Everyone!

I got an email saying I made it to Part 2 on Friday March 7! I am ecstatic. I thought it was over. Don’t lose hope guys. And for those who made it to Part 2, congratulations. I hope you all make it to the interview(part 3).

Congrats! that is so exciting! I still haven’t received any sort of email, acceptance or rejection, haha. I’m starting to wonder if I left something out during my application or something.

I doubt it. And I also sent them like three emails concerning my application. They never replied. I don’t know why this program’s staff has seemed very disconnected from the applicants, but we should not make assumptions. Try your best to be patient and hopeful.

I called a and talked to Iris personally before I got accepted into round 2.

I wonder how many people move on to Round 2. And how many of them move on to Round 3. Only 60 people get into the actual program, so it’d be difficult to weed out a lot of people just by tax returns, transcripts, and birth certificates.

I feel like the hardest rounds to pass are round 1 and 3

Yeah that sounds about right. By the way, you said you called Iris Early? I just took the SAT for the first time on March 8, and I am confident that my scores will look much better than my PSAT scores looked. The only problem is that the scores don’t come in until the 27th. You think I should talk to the director about sending my scores to her when they come in? Or just leave it be.

@eudotong I actually called her again and asked her a similar question. I took the PSAT and PLAN test, but last year and I couldn’t find my actual scores. I’m in college possible, a program that proctors full act tests by the Princeton review. I called her and explained to her my situation, and she told me to send in my practice act test scores (which were far better than my PSAT and PLAN sores). The problem with your situation is that by that time I think it will be a little late. You should still call Iris and see if you can do something, just incase. I’m sure your scores won’t bring down your application by much, if at all.

Alright, thanks for the advice I’ll definitely try calling her tomorrow and asking her myself.

Guys! I got into round III!

I just found out I’m in round three!

When did you two submit your information for round two?

I submitted my info this Tuesday.

@notamontague when did you schedual your interview? And congrats by the way!

Wow. You got your decision just three days after submitting your information. I submitted on Wednesday, so I’ll probably get my decision by Monday… Hoping for acceptance.

@luisscarchi23 this Tuesday >.< I’m so scared because I don’t know what they are going to ask.
@eudotong end of February I think

@notamontague I scheduled mine for this Monday morning! I’m pretty nervous too!

@luisscarchi23 you mind sharing what they ask on here so I can have a heads up? x3 I’m just so nervous. I’ve never been interviewed for anything before :/

@luisscarchi23 anyways I am sure you’ll be fine! I’m not a talker at all and am rather awkward on the phone so I might blow this part
