I’ve applied ED and I was just wondering whether any of you knew how much it benefits me that :

my sister attends the undergraduate school and is doing quite well and is part of a few (and a leader of one of) societies and clubs

my uncle is a professor

my mom helps with the fund raising for the school???

I’m also ethnically diverse (and I know that helps a bit, right?) BUT I only have 2040 for my SAT1s.

It'll definitely help especially for ED, but they consider more than just that. A 2040 won't kill your chances, but you have to be outstanding in other area's. How are your ec's and rank?

Legacy definitely plays a role during the application process, but I just don't know how much

Some people have told me that it doesn't matter as much for regular decision, so it's good that you applied ED. I heard that it applies more for ED because since it is binding, it shows that you want to 'follow in your relatives footsteps' and also go to that school.... (that's just what my friend told me)
