Has anyone filled out a legacy form if their daughter is going through Rush? I am in the process of filling mine out on the national chapter website and it asks for the legacy’s address (as well as my address as the “member”) I am unsure if they want my daughter’s SCHOOL address (ie, her dorm address?) or our out of state address which of course would then be the same address as my own. Thanks for advice! And this is for 2nd semester Rush so fast approaching! I hadn’t known to do this before and someone just mentioned it to me. I have no idea if she would want to join the same sorority (and don’t care) but I suppose I should still fill out the legacy form.
My D was not interested in rushing in college, so I never dealt with this. I just looked at my sorority’s form, though, and it doesn’t ask for the legacy’s address (although it does ask for her hometown). My sense is that it’s not a big deal. I would use her current address (at school).
She won’t get any mail from the sorority pertaining to rush now, so it doesn’t matter. If you list your address as the alum, they will probably send you a thank you. If she pledges, they will have her fill out a bunch of other forms and then her mail will go to that address. Both my kids used my brother’s address, so now he gets two sorority magazines (and requests for donations).
