does anyone know if being a legacy applicant gives a significant advantage over a non-legacy applicant? i was deferred during early action but wondering if this factor is taken more into consideration during regular decision than early.
I don’t think it gives you an advantage in the actual admissions process, but legacies get a guaranteed transfer with a certain GPA after one year if you get rejected.
I’m in the same situation a you are! It’s considered, but not heavily.
