Legacy

Would a brother count as legacy?

I want to say yes

Yes sdfasfasdf

Depends on the school.

Well my brother goes to UChicago.

for most schools, no---parents mostly, then grandparents, possibly. There is no legacy status from siblings.

I don't think it'd really matter much, though. People that are legacies usually have an advantage because their parents/grandparents donate money. I don't think it counts if your brother is still going to that school.

I think siblings matter. How ticked off/ likely to donate money would you be if one kid got in to XYZ college and another didn't??

anyone else?

Your parents and/or granparents graduating from the school is what will make you a legacy. Having a sibling attend/graduate does not make you a legacy however, some schools are very sibling friendly.
