<p>It's a bit of an odd application process, but it appears to be designed to weed out as many students who can't follow directions/aren't willing to take the time to apply as possible. Since the scholarship is listed with FastWeb, a reputable search engine, I think it's legitimate. In any case, they don't ask for any money from you (the main sign of a scam), so you really don't have anything to lose by applying.</p>
<p>I thought the process was a little odd though:</p>
<ol>
<li> Write letter requesting "request for application form"</li>
<li> Request application (with teacher recommendation)</li>
<li> Submit application, including entire tax return (all schedules) and HANDWRITTEN essay.</li>
</ol>
<p>Weird.</p>
