do you think a economics degree from uChicago is enough to get into wall street?

Your question is so vague. There are many more factors that involve getting a job at Wall Street that have nothing to do with what school you graduated from. I mean GPA and EC’s matter tremendously, but connections work well too.

IMHO, a 3.5+ with leadership position(s) will be a good start. My cousin got into ibanking at Merrill a while back ( early 2000’s) with an undergraduate major in pre-med, a 3.9 GPA, no leadership positions, although he was a very hard worker, and very passionate about changing people’s lives around him financially. Everyone has their story.

alright lets say a 3.6 with some internships and ec’s? yea and a great positive background story

your school and major are fine, but they alone will not get you a job / internship. there are a LOT of other factors at play - not just ec’s but HOW you present your ec’s
