another small, nitpicky question/observation....on the acceptance letter in that Lehigh packet, it says congrads for being accepted into the ba/md program and then a few sentences away it said you are class of 2010. Usually I would assume that it was just a typo or something but last time on my interview day they gave me the date monday the 13th or something, but monday was the 15th. I don't know if they just mess up a lot or if they mean something by this. Yeah sorry again for questioning about the most obscure things.

I forgot to say that we should technically be class of 2009 right? Meh whutever I'll just call them tomorrow or something.

They said in the meeting, You will move to drexel in 2009. However, Lehigh's BA part of BA/MD graduation will still happen in 2010.
We all had good laugh when one girl asked if she could do "double major".
S. Miller and others asked "why"?, because you are completing 4 yrs in
3 yrs (this itself may require 1 or 2 summer classes) !

is it worth spending 400-500 dollars to fly out to lehigh for lehigh day and to see the campus? I know I'm going there no matter what, but is it worth just going to see the campus and checking everything out?

yeah i think so...you don't wanna go to the college if you've never seen the campus. it's a very nice campus, surrounding area sort of sucks though. but it's close to philly and NYC so its no big deal. esp if you're from cali i think you should get to know the area a little. haha that's my 2 cents...

thnx, im actually gonna fly out to nyc, stay at my aunt's house, and drive down the next day to lehigh, its about an hour and a half away, so its not too bad. if anyone is going this friday to lehigh life day, i'll see you guys there.

FYI for anybody on the Lehogh/Drexel waiting list. Just mailed off a "will not attend" for the Lehigh/Drexel ba/md program. Hopefully this will allow one of you to come off the waiting list. I think we should all be sending back our no thank you's to programs we are not going to attend to make room for others.

anyone in the lehigh/drexel program want to add any info that they think might be helpful? Anyone got any comments about the program in general?

you should easily be able to complete all the required classes in 3 years.

and sxg, very nice summary and what you said about residencies is true for the most part. residency matches depend on your med school grades and board results. a higher med school might have an edge over the drexel student but not significant enough to deter you from going the ba/md route.

just checked out lehigh university, and I was impressed for the most part. The only thing is that i'll miss watching hours of tv. i'll probably wind up going to new york a lot. But yes, im going to lehigh/drexel now.

Deposit sent to Lehigh...Letter/Contract sent to Drexel. Committed.
Bye Bye to NYU & others..

same here...bye bye Tufts & NYU...still waiting on Union/AMC however

bye bye Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, USC, and others. I'm also committed. Holla.

Just put a no thanks in mail for Union/Albany. This may help you if you are on the waiting list.

bjjacohen where you heading to?

It's my son but he's sending in his deposit this week for GW's 7 year program.

good news guys, lehigh is giving me 15,000/year scholarship. This definitely makes my day seeing as how the fees were quite high to begin with (alittle over 40,000/year). Go Lehigh w00t!

all my lehigh/drexel people, HOLLA! But seriously, anyone who's attending the program for sure, Private message me or something, that way we wont be loners when we first go to Lehigh. I dunno I think its a good idea to introduce ourselves, if you agree feel free to PM me.

so no one else going to lehigh/drexel, eh? Alright then...

hey guys, is usc ba/md a guaranteed program? Does this mean no MCATs?
I want to know a list of ba/md program that do not require MCAT.
