I'm currently a freshman enrolled at Boston College. I'm looking to transfer to either, Lehigh, NYU(Stern), or UPenn (Wharton), for business next year. I just wanted to get a feel for what my chances are at these schools. My stats are as follows:

High School:
GPA- 94 Weighted, 91 Unweighted
SAT- Math:730, Verbal:670, Writing: 670
SAT2: Math 1-730, US history- 750
Bascially all honors and 5 APS: Stats-5, Calc AB-5, US History-4, Bio-3, Physics-3
Awards:
Honors Society
Science Honors Society
Silver Medal- National Latin Exam (12)
Presidents Award for Educational Excellence (12)
PTA Award for National Honor Society Members (12)
Published in Whos Who Among American High School Students (12)
AP Scholar Award (11)
AP Scholar with Distinction Award (12)

I also have a large number of extracurriculurs and about 80 hours of community service.

Boston College:
GPA- 3.8
Courses: Non-science major Biology, Microecon., Theology, Writing, Financial Accounting, Intro to Law, Literature, Theology, Macroecon.

Clubs: Greek Club, College Republicans, Finance Academy, Investment Club, Students in Free Enterprise

I'd guess that you have a fair chance of getting into NYU, but that UPenn is going to be a reach. They essay is going to be really important.

Don't list Who's Who. It's not that prestigious and a lot of educators consider it to be a scam.

Are you currently in all those clubs, or are some of them from high school? Have you held any leadership positions in any of those clubs? How involved in them are you?

I think, as of now, the OP's high school stats are still going to play into the equation quite a bit. A 91 UW, while decent, is not necessarily Wharton material, and one must also consider the fact that transferring into Wharton is exceptionally difficult (under 6% transfer rate).

Boston College is a very impressive school to be applying from, already giving him/her the upper edge to many other applicants. However, only one year of college grades, coupled with a lackluster high school performance and average test scores (for Wharton), will probably not merit an acceptance.

Two years from BC with a similar GPA would nullify the importance of the HS grades, as well as test scores, and give the OP a considerably better chance.

but also note that upenn's website encourages wharton transfer prospectees to apply for sophomore standing because space for junior standing is extremely limited (I'm just paraphrasing). So while another year might make the applicant's transcript better, it may be negated by greater competitiveness.

Should get accepted into NYU. Wharton is competitive in transfer admissions. Accepted only 24 out of 378 applicants (sophomore and junior transfers combined). Probably 16-18 sophomore transfers.
