Lehigh is pretty consistent in offering admission to students who really show Lehigh is their top choice (both stellar stats and not so much). When they say they track “demonstrated interest”, they mean it. They have been known to reject outright students with perfect stats but have never visited campus or contacted a counselor, assuming Lehigh is their safety school and they wouldn’t attend anyway. So sorry for those who are in that category but Lehigh was their top choice.
So your portal did not say yes or no to IDEAS?. Waiting to see if accepted to IBE
I would think any of those top stat kids might be able to file an appeal, if they accept them. Can’t hurt.
Or I guess they could reply with their acceptance of a wait list spot with a message that Lehigh was their top choice…if it was I would talk to a counselor. Maybe they are assuming this is what these really smart kids will do anyway if they are waitlisted…good way to protect the yield I guess and then still let these talented students in. It could back fire though and the kids might be really put off by it. Good luck!
International applicant here, rejected. Guess competition was just far too tight for those who want a significant amount of financial aid. Gutted…
Accepted, but i got the diversity life letter a couple weeks ago so i knew. Idk how much demonstrated interest really matters bc i never visited or contacted anyone
Does anyone know how we find out if they were awarded any merit aid or would it be in the letter?
@collegemomjam “Notification of merit and need based aid is usually included with decision letters” it says that on the portal so yea.
Anyone know where to see what ur major is cuz i applied IBE and wanna see if i got it

@daimyo Demonstrated interest matters greatly unless you are part of an underrepresented demographic they are targeting. Essentially, Lehigh is interested in YOU. Congrats on your acceptance, Lehigh is a phenomenal school.
So will the merit scholarships and financial aid be in the mailed letters? Because I don’t see it anywhere on the portal.

Possibly…sounds like they wanted to at least let people know if they got in and are probably still sorting out the letters to mail tomorrow.
