<p>Holla, is there a preferred word limit for the optional essay on the Harvard supplement?</p>
<p>I know the deadline's over, but I'm writing a new essay to send in.</p>
<p>Mine was around 500 words, I think; I just made it about as long as the commonapp essay. You should not make it too long, like 3 pages, because the admissions officers are bored quite easily I believe.</p>
<p>I would say any where in the rang of 500 words but no more than 750 words. </p>
