Less units completed= less chance of acceptance?

Lets say that an applicant has a 3.86 gpa but will only have 62 units completed by the end of spring semester. Does this applicant have less of a chance at acceptance than an applicant with the same gpa and 70 units completed before transfer?

I have not seen "units completed" anywhere in any UC's transfer admission criteria. They usually list GPA, prereqs completed, IGETC, ECs, essay, etc. as factors for admission, but not # of units

As long as you have at least 60 units, you're fine. In fact, if you're worried about hitting unit caps after you transfer its better to have less units. That way you will be free to take more classes at the UC before they cut you off.

no what's more important is if you completed IGETC and pre-reqs for the major... if you have like 80 units of crap classes and you didnt finish IGETC or pre-reqs yet someone with 60 finished those i'm pretty sure they would take the person with less units

i will have 90 semester units from CCC am i screwed?

no not at all....

No, as long as all the units are from a CC and no where else you will be fine.

i thought UCs don't allow more than 70 transferable units before you transfer?

They will only accept 70 units to transfer to the school but your can take more but they just will not accept them.
