My husband watched the Purdue Penn State game the other night and said it was one of the best games he has ever watched - looking forward to Notre Dame tonight (usually watch them)
I enjoy college football (ironically my college didn’t have a team, nor did my kid’s undergrads). Admit I like watching the Big 10 as I grew up in the midwest. I have my favorites but I go for my D’s grad school alma mater (an original Big 10 school), S’s current grad school (a “future” Big 10 school) and H’s alma mater.
My college senior is at WVU and my kid just got accepted to Pitt for fall 2023, so needless to say, Thursday night’s Backyard Brawl was trash-talk heaven for those two on our family group chat.
(I went to UF, and we are just miserable these years… )
I predict my hometown team (Bama) will play for the national championship and my alma mater (CU Boulder) will finish toward the bottom of the conference and out of bowl game contention.
I usually make a big spread of appetizers and wings/sliders and watch the games at home with my spouse or a few friends. Sometimes, we FaceTime with my Tuscaloosa relatives and “watch” together. Oldest daughter (also a CU alum) and her bf want to attend a Buffs game together so we’ll trek to Folsom Field at least once this season.
My husband spent MANY years at the University of Iowa, and I think it may be a tough fall in our house this year. He’s a die-hard fan, and I could care less about football.
