Let us discuss intelligence

What do you think qualifies as intelligence?

Also, is it completely innate? Is it strictly a matter of your upbringing and surroundings? A little bit of both?

Ok GO.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligence

Thank you sir, may I have another?

No. You may not.

I think we are done here. Shall I call in the clean up crew?

Uh Oh

young teens coing crazy in the streets of collegeconfidential

call the 5-0 son

Can't really think of anything to say that Wikipedia hasn't already.

With that logic

are you telling me that discussing any topic at hand is worthless because you can find the information somewhere else?

hmm

Look, there are lots of contested ideas within the realm of human intelligence, A.I, etc. And a lot of these topics could've easily stirred up debate and whatnot. I was extremely bored so I thought I could start an "intelligent" discussion on intelligence with some of the "intelligent" people on CC. But you guys are totally lame so that was a no go.

Totally Lame

Intelligence correlates quite well with school performance, it's merely a minor factor of job performance though. Everyone keep that in mind.

Intelligence is not pushing on a door when it clearly says "Pull."

Let us discuss the topics of Genius and Child Prodigies, specifically. Quite interesting. Does anyone personally know a genius (except fizix, of course ;))?

Intelligent people don't always do extremely well in school. Many find certain subjects useless or boring and don't apply themselves to their full ability thus making only average grades in them. A good number also find it difficult to choose just one subject to dedicate their studies to because of interests and strengths in many areas.

Not anyone on CC, of course Chaos.... :D

Sit in on an IB Theory of Knowledge class, if you ever have the chance.
