How did you study for the chemistry regents? Didn’t do so well.
Living environment (88 )
Algebra 1 (83)
Earth Science (75)
Ela (92)
Global history (99)
U.S history (99)
Algebra 2 (78)
** I am retaking chemistry since I failed
@lunablue1
sorry for the late reply !!!
i think the most important thing to do is to do well in the class. seriously, paying attention is so important, and asking as many questions as you can on things you’re unclear about is so important. this is definitely what got me the juicy 100, and imo, the easiest way, since i have a hard time learning w/out a teacher.
but if you’ve already taken the class, try checking out or buying barron’s regents chem review book, looking through your notes, and do the past regents tests on nysed website. definitely go through at least 3-4 past regents – it’ll give you an idea of what questions they frequently ask (like how catalysts create an alternate path with a lower activation energy lmao).
i also went through the 200 ways to pass the regents chem exam pdf on cheat sheets (dot)org and kentchemistry(dot)com. i can’t link them since it’s a violation of CC’s rules, but do a quick google search of ‘200 ways pass regents chem’ and the first two pdf links should be it. this definitely sealed the deal.
good luck on your tests!!!
@sputniik thank you so much!!
Scores:
Living Environment (June 2018): 96
Earth Science (June 2017): 92 (better than expected since my average in that class was an 86)
Algebra (June 2018): 90 (Tbh I expected higher but this score is great too)
Still need to take:
Anything not listed lol
Algebra 1 : 76 (first time in June 2017) I had a horrible teacher
Living Environment : 86 (first time in June 2017) only took this class for one semester
English : 88 (first time in January 2018) only took this class for one semester, didn’t study
Global Transition Exam : 98 (first time in June 2018) Did not study and only took for 1 year (10th grade)
Geometry : 66 (first time in June 2018) I had horrible teachers and didn’t learn anything and did not study plus guessed on man questions plus left most of short and long responses blank.
Chemistry : 73 (first time in June 2018) didn’t exactly study, but no one got above an 80
CLASS GRADES from 2018 :
Global : 91
Chemistry : 99
Geometry : 92
English : 90
Same, I do very good in class but when it comes to the regents I do very poorly.
Look back at your post. Every grade below an 80 blames someone else.
Moving forward, reconsider blaming every poor grade on a “horrible teacher.” You’ve done poorly on both math Regents. A word of warning: Algebra II & Trig is a difficult course, and does NOT share the HUGE curve that the other two math Regents exams enjoy. Even if you did get a third “horrible teacher” in math, this exam is going to require that you stay on top of your work all year long. Try hard to stay healthy; missing a week or two to Strep or Mono will make it very hard to recover academically.

9th Grade- June 2016
Geometry CC: 94
Biology: 96
10th Grade- June 2017

Yay I’m finally done!!!
Update, senior year now. I passed my chemistry reagents with a 78!! Thanks for your help.
Algebra 1:100
Living Environment:90
Geometry:98
Physics:98
Need to take ELA, Global History, Algebra 2 Regents, and AP Physics 2 test this year.
CC Algebra I: 87 (June 2016)
Earth Science: 99( June 2016)
CC Geometry: 92 (June 2017)
Living Environment: 94 (June 2017)
Global History and Geography Transition: 100 (June 2018)
CC Algebra II: 96 (June 2018)
Chemistry: 66 (June 2018) ((Horrible Teacher tat was fired after that regents for giving students answers)
Will be taking English, US history, and French Regents at the end of this semester!!!
I found that if you study trying to memorize information by using different sayings and rhymes works best for me
LAST UPDATE:
CC Algebra I: 93 (June 2016)
