I’m just curious how my scores compare:
Global (100)- This test was extremely easy and I didn’t take AP World
ELA (99)- I was shocked when I got this score
Earth Science (93)- I did slightly better than I expected
Living Environment (86)- I was shocked since I didn’t study for this one
Algebra and Geometry (both 82s)- I’m really unsatisfied with these scores
I still have to take:
U.S. History (predicted score 95+ since I plan to take APUSH)
Algebra II (80+ knowing my track record in math)
Maybe Chemistry (85+)
Living Environment: 85 (didnt study never payed attention ug i hated this class)
Algebra 1: 92 (didnt study)
Earth Science: 93 (didnt study again lol also class was really boring in my opinion so i never really payed attention)
Geometry: 92 (didnt study, said to be the hardest regents in years. took in june 2017)
Global: 99 (studied global 1 for a couple hours since i forgot most of it, surprised because this was one of the hardest regents in years also. taken in january 2018).
Algebra 2: 95 (didnt study)
Chemistry: 100 (really surprising seeing as i didnt study for this either, i actually enjoyed this class though which might explain why i got 100 on this and not any other regents)
i only studied for the global regents really because i heard there would be global 1 on it and i was afraid that the thematic would be global 1 related and i wouldnt be able to fabricate a good enough essay. My best subject is math for sure even though my scores dont show it. I feel like the people who grade math regents are too meticulous.
I still have to take:
ELA (i am dreading)
US History
Physics
I don’t think that you should worry too much about the ELA Regents from my experience it was relatively easy, but that might just be me. If you’re a decent writer you should be fine.
Regents Scores:
Living Environment: 80
Algebra I: 80
Chemistry: 66!!
Global History: 81
Grade in class:
Living Environment: 92
Algebra I: 92
Chemistry: 95
Global History: 91
Please someone share me their studying tips, I am so annoyed that every year I do so well in the class but so poorly on the actual regents. There has to be something I am doing wrong.
I would usually just cram through most of the notes in one night for the regents, but I’ll suggest going to Regents tutoring if your school offers it and taking past regents to get an understanding in which areas you need to focus on studying.
Regents are state exams in high school subjects given on a statewide basis. Some are needed for a high school diplom in NY-- Algebra, Geometry, English, Global, US History and I think Living Enviornment. They’re also offered in Algebra II & Trig, Earth Science, Chem, Physics and probably a few other courses.
My daughter’s school STILL hasn’t posted scores. Enough is enough. The poor kid is dying to know how she did.
CC Algebra I: 93 (June 2016)
Earth Science: 97( June 2016)
CC Geometry: 96 (June 2017)
Living Environment: 100(June 2017)
Global History and Geography: 99(June 2018)
I’m still waiting for my Chemistry and Algebra II scores. Next year I will take Physics, ELA and US History
Algebra 1 (89)
Earth Science (97)
Geometry (100)
Living Environment/Bio (97)
Global History (99)
Chemistry (100)
US History (99)
