Trixee don't worry, you have to keep in mind that colleges will view each application by it's own merits. Plus this is a new year. I know it's hard to keep a positive outlook (I keep thinking pessimistically), but the wait will be so much more anxiety producing if you compare yourself to others who have applied in the past.

where can see the results from last year???

Each college has their own expectations of what grades a student should maintain after they have been offered admission. I'd try to keep at the very minimum a C in every class to avoid any chance of being rescinded.

Chessie: I'm just trying to get higher than a C in each of my classes.

emory is so ambiguous as to when i'll get a decision.... it's the only place i applied to. if i don't get in, i think i'll go postal.

i really should be studying for my accounting and econ exams, but i've been playing yahoo pool instead. y'all should try it!

My school is in the NCAA tournament, so that for a little while. Other than that, studying, cuz my grades have slipped a bit.

I'm glad I applied to WVU....they're rolling starting in like January, so I have had their acceptance in hand for about a month now. I don't want to go there...but at least I know, if it comes down to it, I won't end up back at my community college next year. My first response...-pulls out little chart he obsessivly made showing schools and their decision dates- April 15th, Vandy.

I feel like I didn't give a good enough explanation as to why I want to transfer, since decisions aren't mailed till April 30th, do you think it's alright for me to write more about why I am so enthusiastic to attend that college, and mail them the letter?

Depends what school. For harvard I sent an "Additional Personal Statement" after the deadline. They haven't finished filing the apps so they will (hopefully) file it. Where are you applying?

I think you should send it.

I am applying to UVA and William and Mary. I really want to get into UVA, but for my "Why am I transferring" letter I only wrote 3 paragraphs and it talked about the good environment that UVA has for a student. I want to write another letters saying that I also like the academics, the sports teams, the Charlottesville area, etc. Is it okay for me to send a letter detailing why I want to transfer?

I'm going to go crazy. I really want to get into USC or Brown and they are the last two I hear from. I finish my finals before I hear back.

So...I am looking at nyc apartments until then. just in case I don't transfer...and they're pretty. and pretty expensive. damn it.

I'd love to know about the four I submitted this weekend, though I still have another three to complete, some of which aren't due until June.

I think I'm just going to go ahead and mail them an extra letter telling them more about why I want to go to UVA. It can't hurt can it? Plus typing this letter up will keep my mind busy for a little bit.

Yeah I think you should send a letter. It's better to send it than feel unsettled because you know that you could have sent it. You know?

Yeah, good point. At least I'll have some piece of mind knowing that I sent it.

45 more days till I find out from 2 of my colleges, and 30 more days for the other. Somehow I think counting the days left won't speed it up. :P

at least another month for me. =/ blegh. lol.

How's everyone else holding out? Now that spring break is over I'm kinda busy with school work. I'm also going to the gym a lot to keep my mind off of the admission.

Everyday when I get into bed though, I always think about the colleges I applied to and whether I'll get in. Lol.

I'm scared to send a "I love Harvard" or "I love Yale" letter becuase i heard they don't even read them because they are so busy. i heard if they're too long or pointless, it counts against you .
