In AP Bio we are a week away from finishing the third of eight units.

In AP Literature, we mostly read and answered questions about our reading. The class took the same format all year, really. It was kind of a waste of time.

AP CALC: Finding concavity, extremas, inc/dec intervals, pt of inflection using 1st derivative test and finding extremas using 2nd derivative test.

AP physics: Thermodynamics
AP Biology: Membrane structure

Damn
A.P U.S - Civil War (the chapter is literally called, “The Civil War”
AP Lang & Composition - Analyzing essays and the scores they received, “The Crucible” type-stuff

AP English Language - reading Huck Finn and Walden
AP Calculus AB - fundamental theorem of calculus / u-substitution
AP Psychology - sensation and perception test tomorrow, then development, but we go out of order
AP Physics B - work and energy test tomorrow, then momentum
AP US History - Civil War
AP French Language - 40% through the course
AP US Government - finished, haha

thrill3rnit3 - mid-August. Gov and French are online (and thus self-paced courses). We move extremely fast in US and calc but rather slowly in physics.

oh i see, cause we started last week of august. right now in U.S. history we’re doing the antebellum south and taking a test for antebellum period right before we get off for thanksgiving. so we’re probably starting civil war era right when we get back.

IDK if that’s good pacing but I like my APUSH teacher he teaches really well.

I’m on a block schedule, so here I stopped at for first term -
AP Statistics: finished an introduction of probabillity
AP U.S. History: just finished Woodrow Wilson’s administration and WWI (if you have American Pageant, then you would know that my class just finished chapter 30)
AP Physics B: finished pendulum/harmonic motion. now off-term work. third term-projectile motion, torque, and electricity and magnetism

This term, taking AP English Language - read three or four essays. Doing a definition essay.

@thrill3rnit3: My APUSH class is based on Harkness Discussion style, where for most topics readings are discussed. We go very MUCH in depth, but the vast majority of our readings outside of the textbook.

I’m surprised to see that we’re ahead because we still go in depth in the subjects. I saw some people saying that AP Calc AB skimps on “real Calculus”, whereas our calc class actually covers all that they mentioned that we usually miss.

On the other hand, I don’t quite know how to comment on my additional AP Spanish Lang. and AP English Lang. classes. We basically do grammar and practice multiple choice for both classes. We do essays every other week in English, alongside other projects in class.

AP Bio - Finishing Punnet Squares/Heredity Stuff
AP Chem - Ionization Energy/etc. trends and wavelengths (Totally blanking on what this unit is called!)
AP English - Writing our first timed essays. I got an 8 and a 9! I’m going to like this
AP Spanish - We just relearned el pluscuamperfecto del subjuntivo and el condicional perfecto. Learning about derechos and deberes and kinda just…practicing :P

AP Calculus AB: Extrema
AP English Lit: Reading Hamlet, Poetry Research Paper
AP Statistics: Designing Experiments
AP Chem: Periodic Properties of Elements
