Let's think of ideas for new AP courses.

AP Greek and Roman Mythology
AP Sociology (I know it’s already been mentioned, but I’m taking a soc class right now and looove it)
AP Conversations on Race
AP Multicultural Perspectives
AP World Religions?

definitely:

AP Anatomy and Physiology (this is absolutely do-able, can you imagine having to describe the functions and locations of the human body’s bones/muscles/etc?)
AP Speech
AP Multivariable Calculus (lots of ppl take AP Calc BC junior year in my school, so this would be logical senior year)
AP Women’s History

then we could also argue for more specific APs, like AP Neuroscience or something XD

AP Multivar. Calc
AP Philosophy
AP Sociology
AP Marketing
AP Health (Which would include comprehensive Food/Nutrition, Drug Safety & Awareness, PE, and General Health Education sections)

These courses seem both the most practical, most likely to be taken, and most likely to become a reality in the future. But I think it would interesting to have these:

AP Music History
AP Astronomy
AP Architecture
AP World Religions
AP Linguistics
AP Agronomy (Agriculture)
AP Education
AP Anthropology
AP Mathematical Logic (or Foundations in Mathematics)
AP Number Theory
AP Criminology
AP Media Studies (or Journalism)
AP Archaeology

Would love to have AP Hebrew

AP Drug Awareness?

And I’m not talking about trying to scare everybody away from every drug they see, but really getting into the nitty-gritty on all sorts of drugs, and discussing what is and isn’t true about them.
Anything from caffiene, to prescriptions, to alcohol, to marijuana, to LSD. I think that it would be a really interesting class and wish it was available during my high school years…

AP Modern Business
covering such things like how the stock market goes, types of stocks, when to buy/sell, commodities, equity, banking, etc.

AP Marketing

What about other math classes besides calculus and statistics?

AP Mathematical Logic
AP Number Theory (somebody else got this)
AP Discrete Mathematics

An interesting one might introduce high-school kids to general engineering things, sort of like a “try them all out” kind of thing.

AP Engineering

So many kids who like math and science get to college and major in engineering because they think it’s a ticket to a good job… sad, really, and the reason why I think an AP course would help budding STEM majors make a more informed decision.

The problem with other AP math classes is that many students take AP Calc or AP stat in their senior or junior year. It would be extremely difficult for students to try to pack those classes in. I really like the idea of AP Asian History. As a current AP student, I would love nothing more than to take an AP Business class. Another problem with AP classes such as AP Sociology or AP Criminology is that they are kind of specific. I mean, take AP Biology for example. Biology is such a broad term, (anatomy, botany, molecular) there is so much to teach. Where as AP Criminology would have a very specific, difficult exam since there is far less information than AP Biology.

There needs to be more AP history classes. Right now, I believe (not including human geo and psych) there are 4. World, Euro, Art, U.S., Asian history, African history, Latin history, pre-civilization history, history of literature, history of modern medicine. I mean, the list goes on and on. Anything!

Equilibrium - a few problems. AP organic chemistry? for high schoolers? People in college OFTEN fail this class. AP Current events could never exist because the college board sends out a requirement list of things to teach. I doubt the college board could predict the future. AP Shakespeare has no demand, and neither does AP chess. What the hell would the exam be? Win a chess game?

^ People in College often fail freshman english.
