Letter of Continued Interest for Deferred Students

I was recently deferred and someone recommended that I write a letter of continued interest to the school.

Can someone help me with how I should write this? Formal or conversation-like? Short or long? Email or letter?

Thanks so much!

Belt and suspenders, email and hard copy.

One page.

Somewhere in between formal and conversation, to the point. Include copies of anything at all positive since you applied. No need to repeat anyting re submitted GPA or scores.

Dear Sirs,

While of course I was disappointed to be deferred, I did want you to know that I am still most interested in attending blank u.

Since I submitted my application, I have completed AP blank and volunteered for blank.
