Hey everyone,

I was wondering if it would be appropriate to send a letter of interest to Wellesley even if I've yet to hear anything from them?
Wellesley is my top choice and I want to make sure they know how interested I am. How can I let them know without seeming obsessive? =

Thanks

Are you a high school senior, who has applied to Wellesley for Fall 2011 admission, and you haven’t heard back from them? If so, you should pick up the phone and call them and find out what happened to your application. Do they have an online application status checker? Are you even sure they received the application?

If you have not yet applied, then no, it is not appropriate to send a letter of interest to them. When you apply, they will know you are interested.

EDIT: I just read your other posts, and see that you are a transfer student, and you have been in communication with Wellesley admissions, and there was an issue with your application.

i don’t know about a letter of interest per se, but certainly, and email to them asking for a status update on your application, along with a comment or two about your interest, would not be out-of-line. Or, since you are in Boston, go there and ask…

I second the email idea. From some of your other posts, I see that you graduated from HS in '07. Are you applying to Wellesley as a Davis Scholar?

I know the status of my application. The letter of interest is different. It’s too late to send it now, anyways.
Transfer014: A student needs to be 24 years old or have children in order to apply as a Davis Scholar. I’m 21 and childless. I’m just a transfer who took a gap year.
