letter of interest?

I'm planning to send it a letter of interest. SHould I?

When are decisions out for arts and sciences???? Ughhh I really want to go to Cornell(I know, a redundant statement).

I thought that they already picked out the class of 2010. I don't think it would matter much as of now to send in an interest letter.

But what if you have something important to inform them, such as an important change in transcript?

I think it's over, pal.

so are you guys saying that all decisions are made already and they are just waiting to send out the decisions??

What's the worst thing that can happen if you send a letter of interest after the decision has been made? I doubt they will reject you just becaseu you sent them a useless piece of paper. I say go for it.

It's a waste of time and stamp money (yes, I'm cheap). Since they've already made decisions, the letter of interest won't do anything.

some colleges told me that if there's an important change, i can fax them...well that was for tufts. i should call all my colleges including cornell tomorrow regarding the change, no, not the letter of interest. i , too, realize the lateness.

Send you letter. They waived my TOEFL requirement 3-4 days ago. So, they are still selecting people.

By the time the letter gets there it will be around the 20th or so. I don't see any point because I would say that they have made most of their decisions.

FAX them the letter now!

Fax AND email them. In fact, whack them around the head with a stick until you knock your interest into them:)

"whack them around the head with a stick "

by doin that u'll not only be spoilin ur chances...but givin the adcom a bad bump on his head

why would I fax AND email? can't I just FAX?

hideANDseek... e-mail them tooo

when i applied ED, i realized i had forgotten to send them someything in early Dec... they were understanding and asked me to FAX it...
And 1 week after i fax it...they said they never got it....
u can't blame them...they recieve some 1000 faxes each day... so i mailed it to them in the last second...

just play safe...thats all i'm saying

Just how important is this piece of news? I doubt it would make any difference now unless suddenly, from a recalculation of your GPA, it turns out you are actually the valedictorian when the transcript said you were in the top 20%, or something like that.

I think it'll help anyway if you're borderline or about to be waitlisted.
Arjun, surely you didn't take my words literally?
