I have a question about letters of recommendation. I asked one of my teachers to write me one and she sent it off to a couple of schools. When she showed it to me later, I saw that it's a very good letter that says some nice things about me. However, she's not exactly an English teacher and the writing isn't the best. I did notice a couple of typos as well. Will this reflect badly on me? I'm just a little worried..

It happens. Colleges know this. Don’t stress

What if it restates a lot of my resume? Although she does mention a few things about my personality, the first paragraph has a lot to do with my resume, which the colleges will see through my application of course. It’s maybe a little bit redundant. Does this look bad? I’m scared that it’ll seem not very personal.

Unhelpful or even poorly written LORs come in all the time. The colleges realize it’s a real possibility. They then turn to other areas of your app to evaluate you.
