Letter of Recommendation

Hi all,

I have just established my connection for my first teacher letter of recommendation, and the individual who I asked has written it. I did not ask to see the recommendation, as I felt confident that the individual would write a good one for me. However, the individual sent me a copy of the recommendation, asking me to look it over and correct any mistakes that were made. I did not request this, nor did I request any changes to be made after reading it- I simply thanked the teacher and told them that it looked good to me. However, I now learn that I am not actually supposed to see my recommendation. Will college admissions officers know that I looked at it in any way, and should I be concerned that this will affect the value of the recommendation, despite the fact that I did not ask for the recommendation, nor did I request any changes?

Thanks!

All that you want to do is waive the right to see it. That way it is clear that the letter is impartial. It isn’t required that you actually not see it. If the teacher offers than it is not problem. How would any college officers know that you have looked at it?

Ok thank you! I was not sure
