Letter of Recommendations? (HELP!)

So it's about that time I get my recommendations together. I need at least 2 within a month (and a 3rd one in two months, but I can worry about that after this). I'm asking my English professor for one; she knows me and I did pretty well in the class.

Now I'm trying to figure out what to do for the second one. The problem is that all the classes I've taken thus far have been pretty big... lots of students. Most professors (maybe) remember my name and have a brief idea of me based on my participation in class, but definitely not well enough to write a full page of praise... not even close, I don't think.

I'm a film major; have taken a few film classes - but all of them were huge. There's one in which the professor knows me very well but he only writes recommendations for students who have taken at least 3 of his classes. I've only taken one.

Should I ask professors who may not know me that well, and just feed them insight on myself in the email I send to request a letter?

What should I do? What are my options at this point? I've only seen a counselor once...

I have about a month... minus the holidays.

It’s possible to ask for a letter, stop by during office hours, and bring by some examples of your work in their class (graded, if possible). You probably won’t get a full page, but you’ll get something.

Getting something is definitely better than nothing! Are you transferring from a university or a CC? Usually any extra curricular recommendations that attest to your strong film background or in general as a person, a worker, etc, those would also be good for you!
