Letters of rec for UCLA

Hello everyone. So I'm applying to UCLA's History program for 2012. I am in the process of receiving recommendations right now. I am a UC Berkeley student and I've already secured 2 from professors at this University. The thing is that those are the only two I've come to know well while attending Cal. I actually transferred from community college which brings me to my question, or actually 2 questions.

Admission Information — History

^They are asking for "three letters of recommendation from the student's former or current professors".

1) Does this mean that I can't ask one of my community college "instructors", since they are not actual "Professors"?

2) Is it taboo to ask a "Current professor" with whom you're hitting it off with, but whose course you haven't even completed yet for a grade?

^Scratch this question. I’ve received an answer directly from the horses’ mouth. For anyone else browsing who wanted to know as well, it doesn’t matter (well, technically that is, but perhaps not qualitatively).

Yup, I’ve asked schools the same question - it doesn’t matter. Some ask for at least 2 professors, some ask for 3 professors, some prefer research mentors, it all varies but most of the time they say (in response to their website instructions) “it says that? Just pick 3 who know you best…”

On a semi-related note I had a dream last night that one of my supervisors wrote my letter in Old English. He thought it was funny. What a nightmare!
