I sent in my application to Penn State in early October with no letters of recommendation or resumes because when I attended a Penn State info session, I was told they didn't read them. However, I've read that several students who applied had letters of recommendation..did I make a mistake? Should I send them in now seeing as I haven't gotten a decision yet?

I didn’t send recommendations or a resume (I just included my activities in the application). Honestly, psu is focused mainly on numbers. Not sending recs definitely didn’t hurt me I got in this week.

Alright, thanks! I knew it was all numbers but I got a bit worried since most people included having “excellent letters of recommendation.” Congrats by the way! PSU is my top choice

No problem, don’t worry! And thank you! It’s my top choice too.

many counselars send them in because they are in your file, since some schools want them. Especially if using electronic submission, it is tied in with your transcript. can’t hurt!
