Letters of recommendation

<p>I am applying to Stanford and possibly WashU.
Stanford says, regarding recommendations,
"We recommend selecting grade 11 or 12 teachers in two of the following subject areas:
English
Mathematics
Science
Foreign language
History/social studies"</p>

<p>I have rec. letter from an 11th grade math teacher, which is fine. However, I also have another rec. letter from a 12th grade Bible/ Leadership class teacher. Do you think these subject categories are okay? I don't know if they fall under the ones listed above or if I should just put it in the extra recommendation category. Should I get another teacher to do my second main rec. letter?</p>

<p>Math is fine.
However, I do not recommend the Bible/Leadership. Teachers who teach anything related to Theology are not really counted as “that important” teachers because those are the typical, standard subjects.
I would choose another one.
You could use that teacher for an additional recommendation. </p>

<p>Thank you @nbfanforever‌ </p>
