Which one is harder out of AP Human Geo and AP Psych?

Is APUSH a hard class?

Every school is a little different. But, in general
AP Physics is harder than AP Bio.
AP Human Geo is harder than AP Psych.

And APUSH is the hardest AP. The only AP that matches the difficulty of a real corresponding college class at top universities.

-It all depends on the person, you know that. I took APUSH and aced it while my best friend next to me got a D. If you don’t have a strong interest in history and an ability to memorize specifics DON’T TAKE IT.

-I haven’t taken ap human geo but will take the AP test for it. The content seems like common sense to me, I love geography and history. To me, the practice tests are easy.

-idk about psych

-ap bio at my school is harder than ap physics, but that is due to different teachers. It varies.

Really, the only way to know how you will do in each class, look at who you are as a person. Do you LOOVE history, are you good at it? Or are you more interested in geography? Are you a real nit picky math person (a lot of physics is how you solve the problem, the steps you took to solve it, etc)?

If you are more of a history person go with bio. Bio and history need similar skill sets - good memorization skills. These two APs are memorizing facts, rather than solving problems like physics.

Just check out college board and skim some of the past AP tests. See which ones sound most interesting. I know from experience, if you aren’t interested in the class, you wont succeed.

only you can decide what is best.

Honestly, difficulty is in eye of the student. If you’re excellent at math, you might find AP Physics (B or C) to be much easier than AP Bio. If you enjoy psychology but hate history, you’ll probably find AP Psych to be easier than AP Human Geography. I personally hate biology so I took AP Physics C in junior year (my class prepared me for both the C exams). Most people at my high school think AP Physics C is impossible, but I think its much easier than AP Bio.

Anyway, its obvious that you’re choosing a schedule or finding APs to self-study. We can help you if you tell us what subjects you enjoy and what you feel you strengths are (math, physics, writing, memorization, etc.). Also, are you referring to AP Physics B or AP Physics C? There’s a big difference between both courses and exams.

Thanks for the advice!

Honestly it depends on you. What is your strongest subject? I took AP Bio my freshmen year and didn’t pass the exam but pulled off a B at the end. I’m in my senior year taking AP Phsysics and I’m rocking out A’s. Physics = Algebra and basic trigonometry. And AP Human Geography is a joke. It’s basic and if you watch/ read the news a lot, chances are you’ll get a good grade. That’s coming from my perspective.

I disagree that APUSH is the hardest exam. AP Physics C (both exams) and AP Chemistry are much harder than APUSH.

I’m in APUSH right now and I find it easier than AP Euro by far. It’s maybe slightly harder than AP Gov, but even then they’re probably comparable.

You should ask other people at your school though. It really varies.

AP Physics is DEFINITELY harder than AP Bio. I took physics c and chem and between the two I am having more difficulty with physics c, personally.

AP Physics C and AP Chemistry are on a whole different level in terms of difficulty compared to the other exams. It’s AP Physics C, then a big gap, then AP Chem, then an even bigger gap, then every other AP.
