LGBT community at Lafayette

I know this is too early to ask this question because I haven’t got accepted yet, but I do want to know more about the social life here. Can anyone give me some information, especially about the LGBT community at Lafayette, please?

I’m a sophomore at Lafayette (ally but don’t identify as LGBTQ) so I can tell you about Lafayette social life in general but not specifically from an LGBT standpoint. Lafayette is almost like a mixing pot in the sense where theres a place for everyone. You can find a place whether you are preppy, nerdy, artsy, game-enthusiast, or even completely unique. We do have Quest, which is Lafayette’s LGBTQ and ally organization (their facebook page is Lafayette-Quest). Quest does a lot of discussions and events, and the meetings are a great place to meet new people who in my experience are pretty nice. For example, this year we held the Lehigh Valley Queer and Ally Prom at Lafayette’s Spot. In general, our campus is known to be more of a quiet campus because we are small. People still go out and socialize but the “party scene” consists more of small dorm parties or off campus parties. If you are in to going out most nights, usually you can find a place to go. If you’re more of an introvert who likes to stay in and watch movies or play games, there are groups who do that too. Also, a small campus builds more of a community sense where you feel more like a giant family rather than just people who pass each other on campus. Hopes this helps and feel free to contact me if you have any other questions!

wow thank you so much for such an extremely detailed answer @RachelSzt‌. At first I was a little nervous, but now I feel more comfortable :D. Hope I can get in Lafayette to experience these wonderful activities :D. Thanks again.
