LGBT Community In Boarding School

I need help deciding between Concord Academy or Milton Academy. I like them both, but I hear Milton is more prestigious, and I can get into a better college. But I like the arts and music at Concord better, as well with the community. they’ve both given me all the financial aid, and they both truly want me.

@brandor: Think about the commute. Is CA or MA closer to your house? Or does it not really make a difference? I know several students who eliminated a school because of the commute time. Hope that helps!

Concord definitely has a really strong arts program, though I don’t know much about Milton’s. But I don’t think that you can necessarily get into a better college from Milton. Unless Milton has amazing connection with a certain college, one school probably won’t give you an edge. It’s more about using what the school gives you to work hard, get involved, etc. If you want Concord then go for it.

If you look at college matriculation listed for CA and MA on their web sites (under Academics / College Counseling), you’ll see it’s fairly similar (keep in mind that the schools are different sizes and the stats are for different time periods), so I’d agree with WillemS that there are better factors on which to base your decision. I don’t know much about MA, but I do know that CA has a great arts program and that it has a relaxed and welcoming community.

I’ve decided to go with Concord, due to it’s atmosphere, and arts program. MIlton seemed a bit disconnected and too large for me. Thanks for the input.

Happy to help!

I know I’m a ******bag, but whatever man. You’re lucky.
