<p>Just though I'd put a place for y'all on here. Those of ya in private schools - have you gotten any backlash from the students? the administration? (I know people who've been expelled... and unfortunately in NY all they can sue for is bias, not being illegally booted from school.)</p>
<p>Well, I’m in a public school… People talk alot but, IDC. People don’t mess with me after my first 4 breakdowns.

<p>A bit. Our school is supposed to be super liberal, but I’m the only out student on campus. Sigh.</p>

<p>Our school is really open–One of the few (I’m my opinion) benefits of living in Portland, Oregon is the acceptance of all sorts of different types of people, including LGBTQA folks.</p>
<p>My son’s girlfriend is the head of the Gay-Straight Alliance at his high school. They went to the county Gay Prom as the Awkward Straight Couple–but I’m 99 percent sure they weren’t awkward at all. Great kids, gay and straight, belong to the GSA.</p>
