<p>Hey everyone, I was accepted into GW as a political science major this fall and have a question. As a gay student, I was wondering whether GW has LGBT housing, or something similar. I have read a little bit about gender neutral housing, which is different, but haven't seen anything on LGBT housing specifically. Having an accepting roommate is obviously important, and I was just wondering what I could do to help ensure that. Thanks for any input/advice.</p>
<p>GW does not specifically offer LGBT housing, but if you’re looking to be sure that you’ll have a roommate who you’re comfortable with, you might find it useful to use one of the GW Class of 2015 Facebook group boards where I’m sure people are advertising for roommates. Put yourself out there and see if you click with anyone. It’s not always going to be as perfect as you’d hoped, but at least you can avoid the possible risk of ending up with someone who will be a problem.
Overall, the GW campus is very tolerant. Homophobes are far more likely to be judged than LBGT people! Good luck :)</p>
