Liaison officers vs. auxiliary officers?

I'm getting confused here (not hard to do). Does the CGA use auxiliary officers instead of what the other academies call liaison officers? (ALO, MALO, B&GO) Dd had a lot of contact with the CG auxiliary officer before AIM (great guy). Will he be doing the interview?

Yes they use Coast Guard auxiliary officers for this purpose. The Auxiliary is an official branch of the CG consisting of civilian volunteers. Your dd will likely be interviewed by the same person you've been dealing with.

Heartcross - get over to USMMA & get some new threads going will ya! We gotta catch up! ;) You are playin' around in here too much!
My son was interviewed for USCGA by a retired Captain. He was extremely nice and spent a few hours at our home talking with us and our son. He's an older gentleman that is very involved with USGA and sits on the nomination board in our district. Had to smile after that interview was over because he'd said that our son might look into West Point due to his politics. (Jamz is the biggest little republican I know) And this guy's daughter went to CGA and HE was an alumni from the late 50's! HA! If dd isn't interested in USMMA, well then, I guess I can't complain if she chooses to look at CGA. Its my very next favorite!
