Well I think it's more the quality of your writing that has a direct impact on your score, don't you think?

While I do agree that people with more examples usually get higher scores, your assertion regarding the direct proportion between # of examples and test scores isn't valid simply because people who write one example usually have poorly developed writing styles with minimum development. The real correlation here is between the actual maturity and development of the writing (AKA quality, as I've been stating) and not the quantity. The # of examples is merely a tool that some writers embrace in order to demonstrate their writing skills. If I delineated on 3 examples in 6 lines, would that be better than 1 example on 6 lines? It's clearly the actual quality of the writing then. The quantity of examples used is merely a curious "byproduct" or our faulty educational system.

one of my examples was about my grandma curing cancer...and I got a 12! It's all about being able to support your ideas regardless of if you have to make something up on the spot.

I wrote in my June '06 essay that I had helped find a cure for lymphomic cancer, that my dad helped invent a machine that converted feces to breatheable air, and that my mom discovered a way for garbage to be turned to gold.... i'll let you know what i got, i'm guessing between 9-12

Wrote about the Crucible and about Nietzche's concept of the ubermensch for the June '06 essay. Will let you know how it went in approximately 44 hours. Ughhh.

Good vocab words (and yes, utilized correctly! and that includes conotations as well!): ameliorate, eradicate, posit, ephemeral, defenestrate...I don't know, if you have a good vocabulary, it'll just naturally come through. (Though it would be awesome if you had occasion to use the word defenestrate in a college essay. Cuz I'm a geek like that.)

The SAT essay is all about BS. If you spend 30 min the night before you should easily get a 12.
PM me if you want to know how I fooled the system.
